In the event of (imminent) employee absenteeism, coaching is implemented with the agreement of both employer and employee, explicitly focusing on strengthening the employee’s recovery behavior (following absenteeism). In an ethical and personal manner, a thorough inventory is made of the factors that led to exhaustion and/or burnout, covering private, relational, and work-related aspects.
Active work is carried out on the various phases of recovery: the acceptance phase; the emotional processing phase; the insight and ownership phase (reinventing oneself); and the experimental and practice phase. Meanwhile, reintegration takes place and relapse prevention is ensured. The employee emerges from the process “better” than before.
